Make your way to the corner of Cooper and Young in Midtown Memphis and you’ll have arrived at a place both traditional and trendy, cosmopolitan and casual. It’s where art, culture, cuisine and commerce intersect in a fabric that weaves its way throughout this historic neighborhood to create a lifestyle district all its own. Browse and enjoy refreshments at local antique and retail shops while you are here. Be sure to sign up for drawings and giveaways. Visit local artisans that are selling their wares on the sidewalk. August Night Out starts promptly at 5:00 pm and is sponsored by Central Automotive located at 2189 Central Avenue.

The featured artist at the gazebo is Tonya Dyson who just returned from a world wind singing tour overseas. Is anything more engaging than sweet refrains of soul music that stay with you, songs that touch you to the core with pinpoint vocal accuracy, songs you want to sing along with and grooves that last after the music has stopped? Tonya Dyson is a product of that essence, crafting a sound as indelible as those who influenced her to bring it to life. Tonya’s music can be enjoyed from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
